Humber’s Architectural Technology - Sustainable Design program addresses the challenges of creating effective and sustainable built environments. Our industry-focused curriculum prepares graduates to examine, model and improve the energy and environmental performance of existing buildings; support the design and construction of sustainable buildings to improve performance standards; implement renewable energy technologies; and support new approaches to understanding building resilience, decarbonization, adaptation to climate change and building resource strategies.
It is designed in alignment with Canada’s net-zero-ready building emissions by 2050, ensuring a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach. Students learn a robust skill set integrating architecture, building science and energy management. This program prepares students to meet the demands of modern Architectural Technology and empowers them to make significant contributions to sustainability and environmental stewardship in their professional careers.
